It's Mini-THON Week!
East Hanover Elementary's Mini-THON will take place during school on Friday, March 13. To celebrate our Mini-THON week, we will be having Spirit Week with Dress-Up Days and our annual Penny Wars Race benefitting Four Diamonds! Additional details are below.

There are also opportunities to donate money toward Mini-THON, outside of Penny Wars, if you are interested. All donations go directly to Four Diamonds and children fighting cancer at Penn State Hershey Children's Hospital.

(1) You can send a check to school (made payable to Four Diamonds or East Hanover PTO, with MiniTHON in the memo).

(2)  Students can set up a personal fundraising page on Four Diamonds DonorDrive website. You can donate directly online by creating a DonorDrive.  Each student who registers and shares the page with family and friends via email or social media will get a PRIZE.  Find directions to complete your DonorDrive here .

I Declare a Penny War!
It's Penny Wars Spirit Week!
Dress up each day and gather up your Penny Wars money  and bring it to school this week as we get excited for Mini-THON on Friday!

How the Penny War works:

1. Each class has their own container
2. All coins count as positive points for YOUR classroom, i.e. a penny is 1 point and a quarter is worth 25 points.
3. Paper money is part of our race this year too. Each $1 is worth 100 points and counts as negative points for OTHER classrooms. For instance, dropping $5 in another class's container subtracts 500 points from their total!
4. If a student brings in a check, they can decide whether they want it to count as coins or dollar bills.
5. On Friday, March 13 after points/money will be tallied, we will announce a winner and the classroom with the most points will win a class treat!

Show Your Spirit!
MONDAY: Good Vibes Day - Wear a shirt with a positive message (Don't forget to join us at Chipotle in Hershey (210 W Chocolate Ave)  from 4:00-8:00 p.m. to benefit our Mini-THON. In-store orders only, online orders are not included. You must mention the fundraiser at check-out.

TUESDAY: Hat or Hoodie Day
WEDNESDAY: Dress Like a Teacher Day
THURSDAY: Favorite Animal Day
FRIDAY: Mini-THON Day - Wear your Mini-THON shirt, or a purple or lime green shirt. Dressing wacky for Mini-THON: tutus, fun hats or headbands, crazy hair, silly socks, etc! is also allowed
