Event Committee Forming:

A Planning Committee is forming for the Family & Fun Celebration to be held on Oct. 25. We could use your help in planning food, decor, and entertainment!

If you would like to help, please stay after the PTO meeting on Sept. 18. or email Leah Krull.

Walk-a-Thon Label Contest!

Your child should have brought home information (and labels) for our only fundraiser for the school... Walk-a-Thon! We hope you are able to fill out a few, if not all ten address labels, to help support our fundraising efforts. Your child gets a prize (a candy bar) if they fill out all 10 labels. Labels are due Wednesday, September 25.

Funds from the Walk-a-Thon assist with the following:
Transportation for class field trips; School assemblies; Playground equipment; Building technology (smart boards for every classroom, iPads, a new sound system for the gymnasium, digital cameras, etc.). The money raised makes the PTO events and activities possible and free to attendees. These include: Moms & Muffins, Dads & Donuts, Grandparents & Goodies, Mother/Son & Daddy/Daughter events, Santa Shop, Walk to School Day, Fun Run, ice cream socials and more!

Our goal for this year is to raise $15,000. 100% of the funds stay with East Hanover Elementary, supporting the students and their education. And if we reach this goal, our students can vote on a staff member to pie in the face!!

For answers to FAQs and more information, please click here visit our Walk-a-Thon website. If you have a question not answered here or would like to volunteer the day of the walk, please contact Leah Krull or Tess Boyd.

NEW THIS YEAR:
Grandparents & Goodies will take place over TWO Mornings!

Students in grades K-2: and their grandparents (or other grand guests) are invited to spend some quality time and enjoy breakfast goodies together before school in the cafeteria on Wednesday, October 9 from 8:00 - 8:45AM.

Students in grades 3-5: and their honored guests are invited for Grandparents & Goodies on Thursday, October 10 from 8:00 - 8:45AM.

If you have multiple students that span the different grades/dates, you should choose ONE MORNING that works best for your students and grandparents.

Volunteers: We are looking for volunteers to help with this event. If available for set-up, serving or clean-up, please contact Melissa Spittler.
October 2nd is National Walk to School Day. Walk to School Day is a global event that involves communities from more than 40 countries walking to school on the same day. Join us in the Providence Mennonite Church parking lot at 8:30 a.m. State Police will provide police escort as we walk to school! Parent walkers are needed, too!
